Primary School - Response to Intervention Teacher

To support our Primary School team, we are currently looking for an adaptable and inspiring Response to Intervention (RTI) Teacher as a Student Support role starting August 2021 (1 year cover contract).

As a RTI Teacher, you are an an experienced, passionate teacher who strives to support all learners where they are in order to help them meet their full potential. This role requires you to work closely with classroom and support teachers, evaluate documentation of learners and use data to design and implement appropriate learning experiences to support students.
As a RTI Teacher you are responsible for small group support in planning instruction and/or adaptation of the instructional program using the Response to Intervention (RTI) model to facilitate student learning. You will design and implement specific strategies created to promote the academic development of Tier 2 (severely-at risk) students. Dependent on student need, you will also be working with students who require extension and enrichment in their learning and may work with small groups of students on specific goals that have been agreed upon. RTI Teachers will evaluate and measure the effectiveness of their specific RTI strategies and interventions in order to refine Tier 2 levels of support and extension and enrichment support. Small Group Teachers will notify parents when students enter and exit groups, as well as provide families with a 6-8-week assessment summary.

A Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Education
A minimum of three years teaching experience
Experience with using the Fountas & Pinnell Leveled Literacy Program and Bridges Intervention for Mathematics
Learning Support qualifications and experience advantageous
PYP experience advantageous
