Our Elementary School teachers form a highly skilled and collaborative team. There are over 70 faculty members in the ES and close to 650 students from over 60 countries. The ES administration team consists of a Principal and two Vice Principals.
Personal Qualifications and Attributes
Teaching license or certification for elementary school years.
At least 3 years of teaching experience.
Special Education licensure or EAL certification required (both highly preferred), as well as experience teaching in both of these areas.
Qualified and experienced in the administration and interpretation of standardized, individually administered assessments of academic achievement, with strong report writing skills.
Experience with Intensive Learning Needs is desirable (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability).
Experience supporting students who require modified learning outcomes and individualized support.
Experience working within a Multi-Tiered System of Support and/or Response to Intervention Framework.
Teaching experience in a similar type of international school and this age group (3-11 years old) is an advantage.
Commitment to the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) of students.
Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with people of diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated skill at differentiating within the classroom for students with diverse learning needs.
Experience with the Readers & Writers Workshop model is an advantage.
Experience designing units with UBD - ‘Understanding by Design’ is an advantage.
