The Intensive Needs Learning Support Associate works under the direction of the Intensive Learning Center’s lead teacher, and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, to develop and implement individualized programs for students with intellectual and developmental delays/disabilities. Student programs focus on academic, social and life skills, with the goal of helping students fulfill their personal and academic potential and attain as much independence as possible. The Intensive Needs Learning Support Associate balances student needs, resources, and instructional planning to develop student programs that maximize opportunities for students to participate with typically developing peers and become valued members of the ISB community.
The Intensive Needs Learning Support Associate is supervised by the Intensive Learning Center’s Lead Teacher and the Director of Student Services. The assignment will be a full time teaching working schedule. The contract period will be for one school year for a total of 192 Work Days (182 Instructional Days and 10 Professional Days). This is a one year position that may be extended up to two years based on student needs.
