ASIJ is seeking an exceptional educator with training and deep experience teaching native and non-native elementary-aged children Japanese. The successful candidate will be a passionate and highly collaborative educator, a team player enthusiastic about working with and contributing to ASIJ’s Japanese department and to collaborating with other specialists who support children under their care. The teacher will excel at creating a positive classroom environment designed to nurture and support children’s language development in Japanese, where learning is driven by curiosity and motivation and where students regularly interact with others as they develop proficiency in Japanese. The successful candidate will deeply understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in an elementary setting, while further possessing the skills and willingness to differentiate learning effectively for all learners under their care.
