ASIJ is seeking an exceptional educator with training and deep experience supporting students with mild to moderate learning disabilities in an upper elementary school setting. The successful candidate will be a passionate and highly collaborative educator, a team player enthusiastic about working with children, parents, and teachers; grade-level teams; other learning support colleagues and the ES Student Support Team; and the school’s cross-division Student Support Team. The teacher will work closely with ASIJ’s ES Principal, ES Associate Principal, and ASIJ’s Director of Student Support. The teacher will both push in and pull out, depending on children’s needs. They will work closely with classroom teachers in a co-teaching model and/or small group instruction in literacy and/or mathematics. The successful candidate will deeply understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in an upper elementary setting and will be a steadfast advocate for the children they support.
