ISM is looking for an experienced IB Diploma Coordinator with teaching responsibility.
The IB Diploma Programme Coordinator is part of the Leadership Team at the ISM.
Ideally the candidate would possess the ability to teach in Middle and High School.
A teaching qualification (Middle and High School)
Experience in the IB Diploma Programme is essential
Administrative experience is an advantage
Three years teaching experience
Fluency in English to a native level
Strong collaboration skills and the willingness to develop professionally, be flexible and have a growth mindset
Demonstrated high levels of involvement with students and colleagues beyond the classroom
Prior experience in an international setting is an asset
Administration of the Diploma Programme management including curriculum and staff management as per the IB DP Coordinator job description
To ensure the school is abreast of policy, procedure and requirements of the IB
To be responsible for the administration of the IB Diploma Programme
To facilitate counseling of various school communities to ensure understanding of the purpose and philosophy of the IB: prospective students, parents, DP students and parents, middle school students and parents
To counsel prospective IB DP students and parents in the course selection process
To prepare timelines and schedules for assessments, due dates, projects, internal and external requirements (in collaboration with IB DP teachers)
To ensure that all internal assessment is completed in accordance with the school schedule and uploaded according to predetermined dates
To maintain archives and records of all material concerning the IB Diploma Programme
To ensure access to, and provide support for teachers using the IB online platforms (IBIS, MyIB, etc.)
To be responsible for the administration of the IB DP examination process
To prepare a yearly report for the Head of School/Board of Directors, including student enrollment and examination results
This position description is designed to outline primary duties, qualifications and job scope, but not limit the employee or ISM to only the responsibilities identified.
An initial 2 year contract is offered with the option to become unlimited
Starting salary based on experience
Assistance with securing accommodation and registering for utilities (costs covered by staff member)
Assistance registering with local authorities
Flight to Germany is purchased by the school
Moving allowance of 600 Euro to be either taken as a lump sum or reimbursed upon submission of receipts
Medical coverage provided within Germany and assistance in finding appropriate doctors or practitioners is provided
Dental coverage is provided within Germany and assistance in finding appropriate dentists is provided
School mentor program to help new staff to become accustomed to Germany and ISM
