We are looking for a highly motivated, exemplary practitioner for the position of Secondary School Inclusive Education Teacher. The candidate is both a child advocate and a teacher/staff/parent liaison. The Inclusive Education Teacher supports and contributes to the learning and programming process of individual students where his/her specific expertise is needed. Excellent personal and collaborative skills are required to work within diverse teaching teams.
Work within the Inclusive Education Department to develop and implement learning support programs for students from Grade 7-12 with mild to moderate learning difficulties.
Assist student learning, utilising a plan teach, evaluate and feedback cycle.
Create and implement Inclusive Education Planning for students who require additional programming
Work collaboratively with staff to develop programs and strategies to support positive behaviour management.
Develop exemplary relationships with parents, teachers and students
Create equitable learning opportunities for all students
Participate in student, school and community extra-curricular activities
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Education with training and/or previous experience in Special Education and Learning Support instruction. Overseas teaching experience is a definite asset.
