The Annual Substitute position is a one-year position, flexibly covering for additional class requirements and teachers who are out of school for professional learning, sickness or other reasons. With the primary responsibility of maintaining high quality learning, our Annual Substitutes have diverse backgrounds and offer new and fresh perspectives on student learning.
The Annual Substitutes are often recent graduates from accredited teacher certification programs looking to start their careers in international schools. The role is flexible, offering coverage from day-to-day or longer periods as necessary. In addition, the role includes a variety of duties, observing specific teachers and classrooms, leading club activities, coaching sports, leading special projects (ex: the Yearbook), and participating actively in team and faculty meetings. Mentorship and support is offered to support professional reflection and growth.
Personal Qualifications and Attributes
Valid teaching certification is required
Candidates should be flexible, enthusiastic and willing to take after school clubs or sports
