We are TENATIVELY seeking an innovative and collaborative Secondary Social Studies teacher who is committed to preparing our students for the future by cultivating skills and attitudes that enable lifelong learning and caring for the community.
Provide Social Studies instruction and guidance to high school students
Experience with IB Diploma History and/or Alberta High School Social Studies is an asset but not required
Collaborate with the grade level team to develop common lessons and units
Work with all staff in promoting active living to students in the school
Participate in student, school and community extra-curricular activities
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Education with a focus in Secondary Education and a Major or Minor in Humanities (History or Politics). Knowledge of and experience with inquiry-based learning is a prerequisite.
