Primary School - EdTech Teacher / Coordinator

To support our Primary School team, we are currently looking for an adaptable and inspiring EdTech Teacher / Coordinator.

BMS is the oldest international school in the center of Berlin. 1000 students from 55 countries attend our school and are taught using the best international and national curriculum programs. The Berlin Metropolitan School is an all-day school, allowing students from kindergarten through 12th grade to complete a modern and values-based education, culminating into an internationally recognized diploma. An international team of more than 200 dedicated employees lead the way for the learning success of our students.

Support and promote the school and the IB mission statements.
Collaborate, lead and inspire further integration and development of EdTech initiatives within the IBPYP.
Develop and review curriculum to ensure alignment with IT within the PYP and Berlin core curriculum.
Inspire and model good teaching practice utilizing technology as a tool to enhance and transform learning experiences to raise academic standards.
Team-teach and collaborate with Primary teachers to model and deliver engaging lessons. Act as a mentor in the area of technology, providing answers to questions and positive feedback related to the subject.
Plan and lead presentations for students, parents & teachers related to technology.
Be supportive of the school’s mission, an active participant in the greater life of the school and in the team.

An organized, effective communicator, motivated to inspire colleagues with innovative use of technology.
A committed, experienced and well-qualified teacher, who seeks opportunities to extend expertise and looks for improvement to provide a high quality teaching standard.
Minimum a Bachelor’s degree with a valid primary teaching credential.
At least five years teaching experience, ideally in an international learning environment.
Experience with Learning Management Systems, Apple Management Systems and Office 365.
A strong knowledge of curriculum development.
A minimum two-year commitment to this position.
