The Asst. Head for Middle School is is a key member of the secondary school leadership team and reports to the Head of Secondary (Middle/High School).
Main Purpose of Role: To contribute to the leadership and management of the middle school by monitoring the personal, social and academic progress of students in Grades 6-8 so that they maximize their potential and develop the skills they need to be successful in the 21st century. The jobholder is a visible point of contact for students, parents and staff, taking the lead on disciplinary and pastoral matters, responding promptly to concerns, and supporting the development and implementation of middle school programs and services. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the jobholder contributes actively to school-wide academic and organizational practices and developments, including through performing specific responsibilities assigned by the Head of Secondary or the Principal.
