Technology Integrationist/Computing Teacher

We are searching for an enthusiastic Technology Integrationist/Computing Teacher to promote computer literacy among our staff and students. The successful candidate must have at least two years of technology integration experience. Preference will be given to candidates with specific experience as a technology coach or technology integrationist.

In this position, you will be required to craft and present lessons to staff, students and parents, develop teaching material, and attend parent-teacher conferences.

To ensure success as a Technology Integrationist/Computing Teacher, you should demonstrate flexibility and support as you help students and staff to develop confidence in their computer skills.

Key Technology Integrationist/Computing Teacher Responsibilities:

Planning lessons and activities that facilitate students' acquisition of basic and advanced computer skills.
Conducting in-house professional development for staff to build capacity in their technology skills and integration into their lessons.
Instructing in a manner that develops students' and staffs’ confidence in their abilities.
Observing and managing classroom dynamics, with a good sense of classroom management skills in place.
Tracking and communicating students' advancement throughout the year and attending parent-teacher conferences.
Advising our Network Management team on important software updates and maintaining hardware.
Assist teachers in the elementary school to enhance learning through improved integration of technology.
Enrich and support teaching and learning while strengthening the technology skills of students, teachers.
They will work also to support the school improvement efforts and build the technology instructional capacity of the principal and teachers.
Extensive knowledge, experience, and successful implementation of instructional technology are required.
Position will assist technology support services with other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications and desired skills

Qualified teaching credentials.
Minimum of two years successful experience working in a teaching capacity.
Ability to relate technology concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to collect and analyze data from a variety of sources to evaluate and make recommendations.
Ability to demonstrate effective usage and integration of education technologies into instruction to groups of individuals both small and large.
Able to follow written and verbal direction and take the initiative when necessary. Ability to effectively communicate on technology issues with a high level of effectiveness.
Able to organize work and set priorities for accomplishing work in a timely and effective manner.
Able to work collaboratively in a K-12 school environment.
Evidence of continuous professional learning and a commitment to participate in professional growth opportunities and self reflection on professional practice.

Desirable accreditation - ADE, Apple Teacher or Google Certification

Desirable skills - able to maintain our school MDM, after-school activities software, powerschool etc - or willing to learn.
