Secondary Learning Support Teacher

The Secondary Learning Support Teacher is responsible for educating children holistically, guiding them in the process of becoming adept learners, supporting Elementary students with exceptional learning challenges and assisting teachers in the process of educating these students. The successful candidate is required to have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Education
- Specialized technical qualifications in the area of Special Education
- Training from an Education program or school with a US-based curricular focus
- Prior experience as a teacher in a standard K-12 educational setting
- Minimum of two years experience teaching Special Education in a US-based school or International School with US-based or International Baccalaureate curriculum

Early Childhood Teacher’s Assistant

CIS seeks an Early Childhood Teacher’s Assistant who can help create student centered lessons following a High Scope philosophy. The ideal candidate is energetic and understands child development, is able to listen to and understand young children and how they learn, and is able to create a nurturing learning atmosphere for every student. The ideal candidate is a teamplayer and can work in a collaborative spirit with the lead teacher and with fellow teacher assistants. The successful candidate will be required to;
• Have a high school degree or higher
• Have excellent verbal and written skills
• Have previous experience working in an Early Childhood program
• Assist in developing lesson plans based on HighScope requirements and the specific needs of each child
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor the development of each child
• Understand the teacher’s routine and be able to support or run aspects of the classroom day
• Work with small groups and whole classes of children to promote their learning and development
• Maintain a clean classroom environment
• Support children’s hygiene including the changing of diapers
• Understand the tenets of positive discipline for preschool children
• Express joy in the classroom
• HighScope or equivalent pedagogical training
• Have first aid training or be able to be trained

School Receptionist

We are looking for a friendly, informative, and welcoming receptionist to join our school. As a receptionist, you will serve as a positive first impression of the school at all times, while handling the daily responsibilities of a receptionist with efficiency and ease. You will answer inquiries, provide information to students, parents, and visitors, and maintain an organized front desk. Skills required include a positive attitude and excellent communication and organization skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, ability to work independently on own initiative, database management skills and experience. Work experience in an educational setting and/or busy office preferred.

Substitute Assistant Teacher

Salary: $93.75/day
The Substitute Assistant Teacher is responsible for following lesson plans and substituting in classrooms, under the direction of the Teacher, on an on call, as needed basis. This is not a full-time position. The successful candidate is required to have the following:
- Have a high school degree or higher, certificate or working towards a diploma in Education preferred.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and previous classroom experience required
- Formal training in child care, first aid or other related field preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, excellent communication and organizational skills
