Type of School - Ruamrudee International School is a privately owned Preschool-12 co-educational school offering an enhanced internationalized American curriculum as well as an International Baccalaureate program for students in grades eleven and twelve. It is a college preparatory school with 100% of graduates attending university last year. With over 60 years of service, it is one of the oldest, best known schools in the Kingdom. The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) extended its accreditation until June 30, 2020 to the entire system of education from Preschool and Kindergarten to Grade 12. RIS Ratchapruek (RISR) is the new purpose-built campus of RIS Minburi, which has over 60 years of uncompromising dedication to a high-quality international education. RIS Ratchapruek will open its doors in August 2019 for students two years of age through grade 5 and will eventually serve students through grade 12. The PreK program follows the Reggio Emilia philosophy and grades K–5 are based on the AERO standards. High school students will have a choice between IB and AP as well as a robust American curriculum. RISR is located on the outskirts of Bangkok, across the Chao Phraya River. The Ratchapruek area has seen—and continues to see—much development. Over the past 15 years, it has become a very cosmopolitan location with large, Western-style shopping centers and all of the infrastructure you expect in a modern city. Not far from the school is an MRT rail link and Skytrain that will beat any rush hour traffic and deliver passengers to the heart of Bangkok.

RIS Early Years is a 2.4-acre (6 rai) campus located on Prayasuren Road in the Ramintra-Kanchanapisek area. Following a modified American curriculum, grade levels will range from Pre-K2 to Kindergarten. With a foundation built on the Reggio Emilia approach, our experienced and highly-qualified faculty will facilitate education through experiential learning. Students will explore and create through their senses, thereby harnessing their intrinsic curiosity and planting the seeds of future academic success at our RIS Minburi and Ratchapruek campuses. RIS Early Years campus’s Reggio-inspired playground is designed to be a center point ideal for both sensory play and restful coziness. Combining innovative structures and nature-inspired elements, this unique playground becomes an ideal place for children to be able to learn in their own independent and imaginative way. Our Seed to Table program is a natural living classroom that will feature a greenhouse and pesticide-free planting beds.The program fosters in children s lifelong appreciation of fresh, healthy foods by encouraging them to take part and observing culinary practices in the kitchen.
