NOVA International Schools

At NOVA, we lead a fascinating discussion about how to prepare our students for a world that challenges the fundamental notions of education, well-being and success. We are looking for forward-thinkers with expertise in their profession, and equally those who possess the human skills to engage and inspire our students. In addition to your professional experiences and credentials, we would like to get to know your personal story, your motivations, and how you understand the role of learning communities.

NOVA was founded in 1997 to serve the educational needs of the Macedonian community. As the school has grown, many expatriate families from government, business, and social welfare organisations have become part of the school community. NOVA International School is recognized as the leading international school in North Macedonia today; we are a diverse school primarily serving the international community in Skopje, as well as local families with a global outlook, who represent the local diversity found here. We are known for our purpose-build award winning facilities, student outcomes, and a supportive and inclusive community of parents, students and professionals.

The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS); authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), and by the College Board (testing center and AP Capstone); a US Department of State Assisted School, and full member of CEESA (Central and Eastern European Schools Association), and also accredited by the Macedonian Ministry of Education.

The school is located in Skopje, the capital and largest city of N. Macedonia. It is the country's political, cultural, economic, and academic centre, with over half a million inhabitants; a safe, mid-sized city, which is easy to move through on foot, by bike or public transportation (taxi/bus) . N. Macedonia is a NATO member and a EU candidate country, with mix od European and Oriental influence, centrally located on the Balkan peninsula on the crossroads between the West and the East, couple of hours drive from the Aegean Sea and several European capitals. It's a landlocked, mountainous country, with beautiful lakeside resorts, and a history spanning from ancient Greece and Rome, through the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires, and formerly a part of Yugoslavia.
