Dalian American International School (DAIS), established in 2006, Huamei Academy, a secondary boarding school for Chinese nationals (HM) founded in 2009, and the new Huamei Bilingual Elementary school, are all managed by International School Services. Together the schools have a current enrollment of 569 students representing some 30 nationalities. With this arrangement, international students gain an understanding and respect for their host country, while our Chinese students are able to interact with and work alongside their international cohorts.

DAIS is fully accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Council of International Schools, and the Chinese National Center for School Curriculum and Textbook Development. Teachers benefit from the school’s membership in EARCOS, and students participate in sports competitions through its affiliation with ACAMIS. The beautiful campus is located within the Golden Pebble Beach Resort district in the suburbs of Dalian.

Director of Counseling

Dalian American International School (DAIS) is seeking to fill a Director of Secondary Counseling for the 2019-2020 school year starting on July 27, 2019. See job description for more details.

Initial contracts are for two years. After completing the initial contract, renewal contracts are for one year. Benefits package includes a competitive salary, rent-free furnished housing, annual round-trip air fare to home of record, individual professional development allowance of USD $1,000, Chinese income tax paid by the school (equivalent of 25% of salary), relocation allowance, and visa procurement support.

DAIS is accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges, Council of International Schools, and the China National Center for Curriculum and Textbook Development.
