Number of Contract Days
In the initial year, recruited teachers report to Lima by July 1. Local hire teachers report for orientation the last week of July. The school year is approximately August 1 - mid-December for semester one and end of February through June for semester two.
Starting Salary Range
BA with 4 years experience $41,000, MA plus 8 years experience $46,000
Taxes
Salary for recruited teachers is quoted and paid as a net salary in 12 payments beginning August 15th.

There is a housing allowance for recruited teachers
Flights/Transport
Recruited teachers and their authorized dependents are flown to Lima from their Home of Record at the beginning and end of the contract and annually with subsequent contracts.
Furniture
The school will provide basic household items (sheets, blankets, pillows, kitchenware, dishes and glasses, iron etc.), as shown in the Overseas Faculty Manual.
Moving Allowance
Up to $1,000 per teacher and authorized dependents. For children under 12 years of age, the shipping allowance is $500. This allowance will be paid by reimbursement upon presentation of proper documentation and will cover the cost of shipping of personal belongings by air freight, sea freight or as excess accompanied baggage, including insurance and taxes. Unused portion of the shipping allowance shall not be applied to any other expense and may not be converted to cash.

$500 for single teacher or teacher with one dependent and $700 per family of three or more, or per teaching couple with or without dependents.
Dependent Opportunities
Registration; tuition; and technology fees, for the educational program starting Early Childhood (EC3) at FDR, will be waived for two (02) authorized dependents per teacher, if the dependents are fully eligible for admission. However, admission to EC3 is conditioned to space availability.
Medical
International Health coverage will be provided for the recruited teacher and authorized dependents, paid 100% by the school. Eligibility will be only for those authorized dependents resident in Peru and those dependents under 24 years of age who are enrolled as full-time students in an accredited university or college.

Life insurance will be provided by the school in the amount of $10,000 for teachers only. If the teacher wishes to increase the coverage to $50,000 the school will pay for half of the premium of additional coverage.
