Canadian International School CIS (Vietnam)

On March 13th, 2009, the Canadian International School (CIS) was officially established as the first international school in Vietnam to offer a Canadian curriculum. The school’s founders chose the Ontario Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 Curriculum for its emphasis on character education.

All the programs offered through the Canadian International School System- Vietnam are built on the promise that the educational goal is to nurture the whole child - to feed the body and the soul, the head and the heart respecting the values of both intellect and heritage.

Our students are growing up in a developing country where the only constant is change itself. The challenges and opportunities of a global economy and its multi-lingual platform require different kinds of literacies, a myriad of communication skills, a capacity to critically evaluate the onslaught of information, a recognition of the universal human condition, a willingness to continually build empathy and the tenacity to persevere.

At CISS we provide students a solid grounding, roots to withstand the challenges to come, roots that inform their identity, roots that like the relationships students form with staff and with each other, are intertwined. This is the grounding that affords the confidence and independence for flight - wings for flight to post-secondary horizons.
