BRITANNIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Guangzhou (BIS) is under The Calgary International Education Consultancy Company and it is a member school of the Canadian International Educational Organisation. (CIEO).

Founded in September 2017, BIS is a newly established, non-profit, co-educational international school in Guangzhou China which offers The British National Curriculum. It has an Early Years Section for children aged 3 – 5 years old, a Primary Section catering for Years 1 – 6 inclusive i.e. 5 to 11 year olds, and Middle School Section for Year 7-9 students, i.e. 11 to 14 year olds.

From age 11 upwards, it will eventually offer the Cambridge International Board General Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (Cambridge International IGCSEs) to year 11 students, i.e.16 year olds. It is anticipated in future years to be offering Cambridge University Board Advanced Level Examinations.

English Teacher

Secondary English Teacher
The right candidate will hold a teaching qualification (QTS), have a passion for teaching & learning, excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and Cambridge Assessment, is motivated to explore new approaches to teaching and learning, uphold our high standards of care, and be able to build relations with students.
Secondary English teachers at BIS are responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and review of lessons, consistent with National Curriculum and Cambridge Assessment learning aims and outcomes. The candidate should be experienced with delivering English and English Literature to Key stage 3 and 4 students.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to develop the English dept at BIS. The role would be suitable for either a teacher who is looking to develop their career and wants to move into dept leader role, or an experienced teacher who has already developed imaginative and engaging English Language and Literature provision for Key Stage 3 and 4 students. The ability to contribute to the PSHE program would be desirable, but not a necessity.
