Our brand new purpose-built campus is being constructed on 17 acres in Wadi Al Buhair, Bahrain and is designed with a great feeling of space, which enhances the teaching and learning at the school. We will open our doors on September 1, 2020. ASB is equipped with state of the art facilities designed in line with the latest education research.

As an American international school in Bahrain, ASB will offer a Pre-K to grade 12 American curriculum, with the option of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in Grades 11 and 12. Founding Director Dave McMaster has 30 years of experience in both public and private education in Canada, Hong Kong and Bahrain. He was the Head of school at Canadian International School of Hong Kong for ten years, working alongside a world-class faculty and leadership team who elevated the school to one of the most respected and sought after schools in South East Asia. Dave believes in establishing a positive, progressive culture in the school where faculty and staff feel safe to take risks, strive for excellence in everything they do and most importantly love coming to school each and everyday.

School Benefits
Accommodation
Teachers will be housed in staff accommodation for the first year. After the first year, teachers will receive a housing allowance of USD$1220/month.
Flights/Transport
Annual round-trip air ticket for teacher and any school-sponsored dependents from and to nearest major airport to home of record, or cash equivalent. If both parents teach at the school, the school pays 100% of the cost of airline tickets for school-sponsored dependents. If one parent teaches at the school, the school pays 50% of cost of airline tickets for school-sponsored dependents.
Bonus
At the end of the Employee’s employment with the School, the Teacher will receive an end of service bonus, calculated according to the terms of the labor laws of Bahrain. The Teacher’s end of service bonus payment will be equal to the sum of one-half of one month’s base salary for each of the first three years he/she worked at the School, and one month’s base salary for each additional year he/she worked at the School.
Moving Allowance
One-time allowance of ​USD 530​ paid upon arrival.
Dependent Opportunities
Tuition of Children:
● If both parents teach at the school: Up to two children free
● If one parent teaches at the school: One child free or 50% for two children
Medical
Excellent world wide medical coverage provided by the school for the teacher, with school paying full amount of monthly premiums. For school-sponsored dependents, if both parents teach at the school, the school pays 100% of the cost of health insurance premiums. If one parent teaches at the school, the school pays 50% of the cost of health insurance premiums.

Robust in-house PD program and financial support for external PD.
